Essential Pain Management
In February 2025 Dr Miller, a speaker at the 3rd Medical Kurdistan International Conference and Exhibition, gave a training session on Essential Pain Management at the Nursing and Midwifery Development Centre (NMDC), Erbil.
About twenty people from a variety of backgrounds attended the session which was based on the Essential Pain Management Lite programme and provides a structure to allow participants to recognise, assess and treat pain. Further online training sessions are planned.
The Nursing and Midwifery Development Centre is a non-governmental organization that focuses on continuing nursing, midwifery, and healthcare education, development, research, and advocacy with the aim of improving healthcare in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq and beyond (www.nmdconline.org).
